Yeast infection causes in men

                    Yeast infection causes in men

Fungal infections are commonly associated with women, but men can get them too. Oral fungal infections, should not be confused with candidiasis, it is a common occurrence in men with HIV. Men can also have fungal infections of the penis, but because they can not show the same signs and symptoms as a woman does, these infections often are not diagnosed until they become extremely painful. Sexual transmission
Is the Candida fungus that causes fungal infections. A yeast infection can be passed between sexual partners without knowing it. Some women have sex without realizing you have an infection. Once the infection is known, both partners must use an over-the -Counter treatment such as Monistat and renounce sexual contact until all symptoms are gone.Otherwise, the couple can still pass the infection back and forth.
Antibiotics
Prolonged use of antibiotics can cause recurrent yeast infections in both men and women. Because antibiotics disrupt the normal balance of bacteria, which can leave patients susceptible to excessive growth of the fungus.
Diabetes
People with diabetes have a higher risk of any infection, diabetic men as penile are more susceptible to fungal infections. Men who were not diagnosed with diabetes, but suffer from chronic yeast infections, abnormal thirst and frequent urination, consult a doctor immediately.
Nonoxynol 9
Nonoxynol -9, a spermicide, has been associated with fungal infections. If you or your partner have frequent infections, check the ingredient list of your contraceptive.
Diagnosis and Treatment
The most common symptoms of an infection by fungi are penile pain and irritation at the tip of the penis, which may be accompanied by severe itching. The head of the penis may be red and blistery, and there may be a discharge. Some men have symptoms similar to those of genital herpes.
Medicines may be prescribed to treat fungal infections, but a man can get the same treatment kit over-the -Counter yeast infection as a woman. The kits come in the form of cream or suppositories and vary according to the duration of the treatment, but a seven-day scheme can prove to be the most effective.
Natural remedies include rubbing plain yogurt on the affected areas before bed. Some people add a few drops of white vinegar with a treatment cream over-the -Counter yeast infection before applying and find this to be effective.
